Singapore’s Gardens By The Bay

October 15, 2012

The following is a selection of my photographs from the Gardens by the Bay complex in Singapore’s harbour. The project is a conservation and renewable energy venture that consists of extensive landscaped gardens and ponds, two domes (one featuring an artifical mountain and cloud forest and the other a mediterranean garden) and the sky walk you can see here. These ‘trees’ are vertical gardens topped with solar panels which generate enough energy to power the entire complex several times over. Frighteningly the slim bridge which links them sways gently in the breeze. Vertigo-sufferers beware! The best time to walk between them has to be as the sun goes down behind the Marina Bay Sands hotel. I hope you enjoy my photographs.
